By the sixth week, I noticed an edge of the mural I had missed before.
This side, where the elephant rumbles across grey clouds, and wolves howl into a night sky.
I look where the sky looks to be speckled, and see depicted, comets hitting the green Earth.
“One’s destination is never a place, but a new way of looking at things” states the banner behind the program director as she leads us through breathing exercises before sending us into our small conversation groups.
We shuffle and find our circled seats. Electric candles flicker by our feet and the stories begin.
